A big part of me is so ready to graduate, and I can't wait until May 2010 draws nearer.

I've been living an enormous lie. A lie that's taken me through the tepidity of social science research (both theoretical and applied), numerous developmental psychology (human development, to be exact, my major of choice at Cornell), and a much-needed epiphany.

With the realization that I have no business in the rigidity of empirical research and the studies of the human life span, I rekindled my love affair with design and media communications by taking classes in those disciplines to supplement my current education. Needless to say, I am falling in love with it over and over again.

Now that I only have a year to go, at an institution that dedicates most of its energy and funding into the "sciences," a new beginning awaits me. A new beginning that includes taking a year off, to explore more professional possibilities and build a solid portfolio in the process, and pursuing a MFA in a program that is deeply rooted in multimedia and design.

The internal lying stops here. I am ready to take this seriously, once and for all.
